Combined offers

If you have an offer for a taught postgraduate degree at the University of Bath, and you meet all the conditions of this offer except for the English language requirement, you may be eligible for a combined offer of admission.

Your English language level must be no less than IELTS 0.5 (or equivalent) below the entry requirements for your degree programme.

What are combined offers?

A combined offer means the Pre-sessional (Management) or Pre-sessional (General) five-week English language course (PSM5 or PSG5) is combined with your actual postgraduate degree, making a thirteen-month course. This means:

  • you only need one Tier 4 visa and CAS
  • you can go straight from your Pre-sessional English course to your postgraduate degree course on completion of the first five weeks.

Combined offers are limited in number and are only available if you:

How to apply

If you meet all these conditions, you can contact your Graduate School Admissions Office to ask for a combined offer.  Please note that you should not apply to the ELC for a combined offer as only your Graduate School can make these offers.

The first deadline for combined offer applications has now passed.  If you would still like to apply, you must do so as soon as possible as the Graduate Schools are now processing these applications.

Please note that you will need to pay the fees for your Pre-sessional English course and at least half the fees for your degree programme when you start your Pre-sessional course in August (PSG5 or PSM5).
