Students at the UKSEDS 20th Annual Space Conference
A group of twenty nine students and staff from Electronic, Mechanical, Physics and Mathematical Science courses attended the 20th Annual UKSEDS (UK Students for the Exploration and Development of Space) Conference. The trip was organised by the students of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. See photo gallery at www.bathstudent.com.
The conference was hosted at the University of Southampton on the 22nd November, and featured lectures from UK space companies and research scientists on amazing topics including space elevators, gamma ray bursts and human space exploration. An important part of the event was an exhibition of UK companies involved in the space industry as well as stands from student and enthusiast groups. Many of the students used this as an opportunity to ask the companies about placements and graduate jobs, but also managed to pick up masses of free gifts!
