Karen Woods voted 'Departmental Administrator of the Year' by students
Karen Woods has been voted by students as the University's 2008/2009 'Departmental Administrator of the Year'. She won this in recognition of the outstanding support and dedication received (from her by the students) throughout the academic year, above and beyond the expectation for the role.
Karen says "I am very proud to have won this award and would like to thank those who nominated and voted for me. However, I do not see it as beyond the expectations of my role. I believe it to be part-and-parcel of the job. I have always done it and enjoy working with and helping students"
In nominating Karen for this award one of our students said "Karen has always been one of the most helpful members of staff that I have met at the university. From day one she always makes an effort to remember every student's name and tried to help them as much as she can. If there are any major problems she has always been the first point of call and is always more than happy to help. She seems to want the best for everyone".
