Department hosts international conference
The Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering recently hosted the 12th International Electrical Impedance Tomography Conference.
The event took place from 4 May to 6 May and was opened by the Deputy-Vice Chancellor, Professor Kevin Edge.
The conference attracted over 120 delegates from 15 countries, more than double the number of attendees than in previous years.
Dr Manuchehr Soleimani, conference chair and member of the INVERT group, said: "This conference was a turning point for our research community and a great success."
As a result of the conference Dr Soleimani’s lab was presented with an electrical imaging system worth £70,000 by a leading international group from Korea. The system will advance the Department's research and encourage international collaboration.
