Student wins Young Person of the Year
First year BEng Electrical
and Electronic Engineering student Joshua Olaleye has won a Pride of Reading award for his work
with the local community.
Joshua won the prestigious Young Person of the Year award in recognition of his commitment to volunteering and fundraising. In his spare time Joshua worked with an Age Concern group, helping elderly people to use computers. He also gave free drumming lessons to local young people, acted as a student mentor to classmates at Reading College and took part in a charity bike ride among many other things.
Joshua was presented his award by host Chris Tarrant at a ceremony in Reading last month.
