npower prizes of £250 for the Best Power Engineering Student.

Mr Bowley said: “The power industry worldwide underpins our modern society. Only since its
early beginnings does it now demand the best engineers and scientists to overcome the challenges of
sustainable rapid growth in many parts of the world whilst reducing its environmental impact.
Examples of such talent are Dongfang Zhang and
Chao Sun, the 2012 RWE npower first and second year student prize winners, to which I have great
pleasure in making this presentation.”
