Dr Xiaoze Pei
BEng, MEng, PhD, MIET
Dr Xiaoze Pei joined the Department as a lecturer in February 2017. Before then she was a research associate att he University of Manchester.
Dr Pei received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Beijing Jiaotong University and her PhD from the University of Manchester.
Dr Pei's research focuses on the application of superconductivity in energy networks and future transportations including fault current limiters and electrical machines. She is particularly interested in DC network protection by integration of superconductor fault current limiter and DC circuit breaker.
She has extensive research experience in design, modelling and building of superconducting fault current limiters.
Dr Pei also has several years’ experience in grid-connected photovoltaic power system and electrical vehicle battery charge system. Her work also involves the integration of renewable generation and energy management.
