In October 2008, the University of Bath and the North China Electric Power University signed an international Memorandum of Understanding allowing NCEPU students to study for a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) Honours degree at Bath. Students from NCEPU can study either Electrical Power Engineering or Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Bath. These, and all our degree programmes, are accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), the professional body for our subject in the UK.

The University of Bath is ranked 9th in the UK, and best university in the South-West, in this year’s Complete University Guide league table.

The department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering at Bath has an international reputation for the quality of its research and teaching. The department is rated as one of the top 10 in the UK for research in the Research Assessment Exercise 2008 (full results here). In 2007, a survey by The Sunday Times of more than 1,000 school heads identified it as the best electronic and electrical engineering department in the UK (see here).

A warm welcome awaits you at Bath. Find out more in the videos from Dr. Martin Balchin, NCEPU Director of Studies and some of our current students (see below).
