IEMA Associate Membership programme

Overview

Start date: Choose from the following: January, April, July and October.

Closing date for applications for July 2013 is 15th June 2013.

Entry requirements: Whilst there are no entry requirements for this programme we recommend for non-native English speakers a minimum standard of 6.5 in the IELTS test (Academic English) or 580 in the TOEFL test or PTE Academic 62.

Fees: 2012/13 fee - £940 (includes: exam registration fee and IEMA membership)

The IEMA Associate Membership programme is a single-unit distance learning programme, designed to prepare you to pass the IEMA Associate membership exam. You will study all topics of the IEMA syllabus and complete two written assignments to consolidate your knowledge. On successful completion you will receive a certificate from the University of Bath and 6 credits at Masters Level, which can be used toward our MSc, should you wish to continue with your studies.  Your details will be passed to IEMA and you will be able to register for the exam which will provide you with Associate Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).

There are four intakes per year for the IEMA Associate Membership Course. Start dates as follows:

  • 1 April
  • 1 July
  • 1 October
  • 1 January

You can apply at any time and you will be added to the next study group. The unit takes 3 months to complete assuming seven hours of study per week. Please check that you can meet the deadlines for the group you are applying for.
