I haven’t completed my English language test yet – can I apply without it?

Non-English speakers can apply online before you receive your English language results, but any offer made to you will be conditional on you meeting our English language requirements. IELTS and TOEFL tests can get booked up quickly, so it is advisable to book on to one as soon as possible. If you require a visa to study in the UK, you will need to have met our English language requirements before you can apply for a visa. Find out more information about our language requirements.

You may also want to consider pre-sessional English language courses at the University of Bath.

We aim to process applications within 6 weeks, however the process is likely to take longer if you do not supply the correct supporting documents immediately. Applications that are not complete or do not have all the necessary supporting documents will not be processed until they are complete. You will receive an email if documents are missing. If you are concerned about your application you can email the Graduate School quoting your full name and 9 digit applicant number.

When will I receive my CAS statement?

You will need a CAS number from us in order to apply for a visa.  It is likely to take a couple of weeks for your CAS to be issued once your status has changed to unconditional and you have accepted the offer. Please note that Visas applied for using a CAS number earlier than three months before your course start date will automatically be rejected. Therefore, your CAS number will not be issued until your offer is unconditional AND it is within three months of your start date.  Details about the process are provided on the Tier 4 documents page.

Unless you want to inform us of changes please do not contact us about your CAS – it will be produced automatically. You will be notified of your CAS number through the Application Tracker.

I’ve changed my contact details – who do I tell?

You can edit your address details by logging in to the Application Tracker. If you change your name or any of your course information, then please email the Graduate School.

From the point at which you register as a student of the University (via the Registration Online system), you are responsible for ensuring that your contact details are kept up to date at all times. If at any point in the year your address (either term-time or permanent), telephone or mobile number changes, you must log-in to your Registration Online (ROL) system via the University of Bath homepage and update your details.
