We offer the following scholarships for students undertaking postgraduate study with the Faculty.

You need to have firmly accepted either a conditional or an unconditional offer of a place on your taught Master's programme before you can apply for a scholarship online.

The University also offers a number of postgraduate funding options including scholarships and bursaries for Home/EU and International students.

We have postgraduate loans of up to £10,000 available for master's students starting a course in 2016/17.

Faculty of Engineering and Design Elite MSc Scholarships

International
  • 20 awards available based on academic excellence
  • the awards cover a £2,000 discount on tuition fees and are for one year only
  • for full-time study only on any MSc course in the Faculty of Engineering & Design
  • international applicants who have firmly accepted a conditional or unconditional offer for a full-time MSc course and pay overseas fees are eligible

University of Bath International Scholarships Scheme (UoBISS)

International
  • our International Office administers a scholarship scheme for exceptional students
  • there are 75 scholarships available across the university
  • awards cover a £3,000 discount in tuition fees and are for one year only
  • international applicants who have firmly accepted a conditional or unconditional offer for a full-time MSc course and pay overseas fees are eligible

Professor Frank Wallace Scholarship

International

This scholarship in Automotive Engineering is named after Professor Frank Wallace, a pioneer in diesel engine turbocharging research, and awarded on behalf of his family.

  • the scholarship is awarded to a student from the People's Republic of China
  • applicants who have firmly accepted a conditional or unconditional offer for the MSc in Automotive Engineering and pay overseas fees are eligible
  • the awards cover a £2,500 discount on tuition fees and are for one year only.

The Steve Huckvale Scholarships

International
  • the Steve Huckvale Scholarships are available for applicants in an African country to study a postgraduate taught programme in engineering or management
  • the purpose of this prestigious award is to assist international candidates with academic merit and leadership potential to study at the University of Bath
  • international applicants in an African country who have firmly accepted a conditional or unconditional offer for a full-time MSc programme and pay overseas fees are eligible
  • the awards cover a £5,000 discount in tuition fees and are for one year only.

Alumni discount

If you have graduated with a degree-level qualification from a previous programme at the University of Bath, you'll be eligible for a 10% discount on your programme fees.

Other sources of funding

The Alternative Guide to Postgraduate Funding Online contains a huge database of funding opportunities, comprehensive guidance, and numerous tools to help you prepare a winning grant application. The University of Bath has purchased a licence to the Guide, and so itÂ’ is free for all students and staff to use.
