Aim: the Forum will explore strategies to address inequality and unfairness in education and employment.
Our keynote speaker, Eleanor Mills, is Associate Editor of The Sunday Times and one of Britain’s high profile commentators. Drawing on her wide experiences as a woman in a man's world and new research from the Centre for Talent Innovation (the top think tank in the diversity field, where she is a director) she will outline what is required now to get ahead as a student or staff member, whatever your background.
In the afternoon, you can choose from a range of equality workshops on; flexible working, the ‘glass ceiling’, BAME student attainment, mental health and widening participation. Each workshop will have skilled local or national facilitators.
This joint-university event is for staff, students, local organisations and community groups. Members of the public are also invited to participate in this interactive Forum.
