12 June 2013  12.15pm to 2.00pm

Presented by Dr Araxi Urrutia, Department of Biology and Biochemistry

The workhsop will explore funding opportunities directed to or mainly for women including postdoctoral funding, research fellowships and funding to return to science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine (STEMM) after a career break.

The workhshop will cover the following aspects:

  • Why funding for women in STEMM is necessary
  • Would obtaining funding for women diminish my CV?
  • What funding is available
  • How best to access it
  • Where can I get support in preparing applications?
  • How to best present and even take advantage of unusual career paths (career breaks, mobility).

To book a place, please email diversity@bath.ac.uk before 6 June 2013.  There will be a free lunch so please let us know your dietary requirements when you book.  Please also inform us of your access needs.  Details about the venue will be circulated to participants shortly before the event.

Place are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.  This is an action identified as part of this University's commitment to gender equality in STEMM through the Athena SWAN project.
