Gillian has extensive experience in the IT industry and setup her own IT Services and Staffing company, Tectre in late 2009. Most of Gillian’s early career was spent working for IBM in the UK. She has a long involvement with work for Women in IT, supporting both industry and academic institutions in their work on diversity. She is currently chair of the British Computer Society (BCS) group. Gillian won the 2012 Cisco / Everywoman In Technology award for Technology Inspiration of the year.
