Joint Equality Forum - University of Bath and Bath Spa University

This year's annual joint Equality Forum is being hosted by Bath Spa University and will be taking place on Friday 28 October 9:30 to 15:30 at Newton Park. The theme this year is creative connected communities - moving equality forward in 2016.

Baroness Valerie Amos, Director of SOAS

Our keynote speaker Baroness Valerie Amos, Director of SOAS, University of London will be joining us to speak to staff and students about Values Based Leadership.

The day will involve interactive sessions looking at the equalities work of both universities led by Mark Humphriss, University Secretary (University of Bath) and Dr Kate Reynolds, Dean of the Institute for Education (Bath Spa University), including opportunities to discuss a range of equality and diversity issues, Gender, Mental Health, Ethnicity, Trans and LGBT.

During lunchtime there will be a free buffet provided and attendees will have the opportunity to network and engage in our interactive 'Reads and Rights' Media Wall project.

Staff, students and the community will be able to get involved and have their say through our feedback wall throughout the day.

This is a free event and we encourage you to come along to any of the sessions available, or the whole day. To book a place at the Forum people need to choose Friday 28 October on this link http://www.bathspa.ac.uk/equality-and-diversity and respond to the options given.
