Programme Overview

These unique postgraduate programmes are designed to train graduates pursuing international careers in business, administration, diplomacy, policy formulation and research. They offer a broad comparative understanding of European or EU-US politics, policy and social evolution as well as specialist knowledge of key issues in the Euro-Atlantic area. As European integration accelerates and EU-US relations intensify, knowledge and mastery of the deep structures underpinning these international communities is an increasingly vital attribute for those planning an international career. Students complete their coursework at a minimum of two and a maximum of three universities chosen from sites on both sides of the Atlantic.
The Euromasters programme is a 24 months, full-time programme with students offered the opportunity to study at the eight institutions that jointly teach the degree:

University of Bath

Humboldt Universität zu Berlin

Freie Universität Berlin

Universidad Carlos III de Madrid

Sciences Po, Paris

Charles University, Prague

Università degli Studi di Siena

University of Washington (Seattle)

The Euromasters Programme is a truly international experience with regard to teaching, learning and living. The academic staff are very friendly and approachable and always willing to share their expertise with students. The Programme provides an excellent opportunity to experience the different learning environments of the institutions delivering the Euromasters degree.

Employment and careers

Euromasters and Transatlantic Masters students have been recruited from over twenty countries on five continents. Graduates from these programmes have found appropriate positions with a wide variety of international organisations, multinational corporations, public bodies or policy-formulating institutes. Others have proceeded directly to doctoral research. These programmes are highly regarded by prospective employers for the depth and breadth of knowledge and analysis which they purvey, as well as for the hands-on international experiences they offer.
