Careers in Interpreting and Translating

On Thursday, 30th October from 13.15 to 18.00, undergraduate students are welcome to come along and find out more about careers involving interpreting and translation. There will be short presentations from speakers who work in the institutional and private markets, in the UK and abroad. Professional translators and interpreters from the United Nations Office at Vienna, the World Trade Organisation, the European Commission, the European Parliament, the International Court of Justice together with speakers from UK-based companies and freelance interpreters and translators will share their experience with the audience. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions of the speakers at the end of each session.
This is a free half-day event that is being organised by the National Network for Interpreting and the National Network for Translation in association with the Department of European Studies and Modern Languages.
