What's New!

Temporary closure of the northern access road - Friday 17 May 2013

Please note that the northern access road (linking the eastern side of the campus to the western side via Estates, 3 West North, the Westwood Nursery, and Polden Court) will be closed between 9.30am and 3.00pm on Friday 17 May 2013. A large crane will be positioned on the road to allow equipment to be lifted into the GTA building site thereby blocking through access.

Personnel will be stationed at both ends of the roads to prevent access; pedestrian walkways may also be affected by closure at certain times of the operation.

The attached map shows the road affected by the closure.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

New Bath City Centre Traffic Restrictions

The Council is committed to creating a safer and more attractive City Centre area where conflict between vehicles and pedestricans is kept to a minimum. To achieve this the existing Saturday only access restriction is to be extended throughout the week.

The changes will be implemented in two phases and the attached leaflet details the proposals for Phase 1. It is the Councils intention to have Phase 1 of the restrctions in place by the end of 2013, moving onto Phase 2 in 2014.

A 'drop-in' day was held on Tuesday 16 April 2013 at the Guildhall, Bath, however it is still possible to express concerns and/or support via email by Friday 19 April 2013. After this date B&NES would review and consider all feedback before proceeding to the formal consultation of the Traffic Regulation Order towards the end of April 2013.
