Accessibility and Equalities & Diversity

Each time the Department of Estates carries out a new project, either a refurbishment or a new build, consideration is given to updating or providing measures to assist those with disabilities. For example, the following facilities have been incorporated in recent works:

Council Chamber
The refurbished Council Chamber has been equipped with a hearing loop and extra wide doors to assist with access.

Disabled Go

Disabled Go have carried out access audits of the University campus on an annual basis since 2007; the audit lists the facilities available in each building/department across the campus. For full details, follow this link.

Deaf Alerter System - Clarion

The University has a deaf alerter system, this system is installed for staff, students and visitors who are deaf, or who have impaired hearing.....
