Energy, sustainability and the environment
The University takes its environmental responsibilities seriously and is determined to reduce the impact of its activities.
We are a major user of energy and water with an annual spend of around £5m. We therefore have a responsibility to reduce our emissions and our contribution to climate change.
We have some challenging carbon targets as a University and have a five-year strategy to achieve these.
The new 10 West building will provide necessary space for expansion for the Department of Psychology and a new home for the University's Institute for Policy Research. The building was officially opened on Wednesday 20 July, 2016.
