Closure of the A36 at Limpley Stoke Viaduct

Update - 17 April 2008

We have been advised by the Highways Agency and Interroute that the Winsley Road/Brassknocker Hill junction is to reopen as scheduled on Sunday 20 th April 2008. There will however be restrictions in place.

A temporary walkway has also been created at the other end of the roadworks on the A36.

Original notification .....

We have been advised by the Highways Agency that the A36 at Limpley Stoke viaduct will be closed for essential repairs from 31 March 2008. This road is a main artery into the City of Bath and the closure will inevitably cause disruption. The University has published as much detailed information about alternative routes as currently available from the Highways Agency at the following link:
