Former Pro-Chancellor of the University and retired diplomat, Sir Donald Maitland GCMG OBE, and University of Bath Lecturer in International Relations, Dr Scott M Thomas take part in a Public Debate this Wednesday, 20 November at 7.30pm at Bath Abbey on 'Should We Invade Iraq?'

Sir Donald is former British Ambassador to Libya and Chief Press Secretary to the British Prime Minister.

Dr Scott M Thomas is an American citizen and a specialist in the relationship between faith and international relations

Also on the platform will be the Rt Revd Peter Price, Bishop of Bath and Wells, who has visited Iraq, and Dr Hazim Al-Rawi, a local Muslim who grew up in Iraq.

The debate is hosted by Churches Together in Bath, and will be chaired by its Executive Secretary, the Revd Roger Nunn, who is a former Baptist Chaplain at the University of Bath.

All are welcome, and no tickets are required.
There will be opportunity for questions and comments from the floor.
