Coordinated Development of New Energy Technologies and Multi-Energy Internet
We are inviting Early Career Researchers from the UK to apply for funding to attend this joint workshop in Shanghai.
Under the British Council Researcher Links scheme the University of Bath and Shanghai Jiao Tong University will be holding a cross-disciplinary workshop coordinated by Professor Furong Li and Professor Yiwu Weng with contributions from other leading researchers.
Exploring the challenges and opportunities of Energy Internet development
Since the introduction of the transformative concept of Energy Internet, it has fundamentally changed the view of the society towards energy exploration, transportation and utilisation, accompanied by fundamental revolutions in the energy sector. However, during this transition, there are many accompanying technical, regulatory, political and societal challenges to be resolved.
This workshop has three key objectives:
- characterisation of the knowledge gap between components and energy systems
- identifying technical and commercial tools for managing the energy internet
- informing the development of future technologies and energy internet
- providing a networking platform for assisting career development for early-career researchers
