Book now

You need to book to come to this Open Day. You also need to book on to most talks and tours in advance as spaces are limited.

You may bring as many people with you to the Open Day as you would like. Please note, however, that due to the popularity of our events, a maximum of 1 additional person can accompany each prospective student into the talks and on the tours.

Take a look at our timetables to see our programme of talks and tours for the day. We also have a number of Department drop-in sessions and exhibitions which you do not need to book in advance. Our timetables have full listings of everything that is available on the day.

Travelling to the Open Day

Find out about ways to travel to Bath and get onto campus. If you have a long way to travel, you may want to book into our campus accomodation.

On the day

Once you're on campus, you'll find Welcome Points in our West and East car parks, outside the Library and at the bus terminus.

Student Ambassadors and staff will be there to welcome and guide you. You'll be able to recognise them because they will be wearing red University T-shirts.

One thing we can't plan for is the weather. Please check the forecast and come prepared.

You can download the event programme, which lists all our talks and tours along with useful information for getting around campus. Printed copies will be available on the day.

Take a Self-guided campus tour

Our self-guided tour will help you explore our campus on Open Day at your own pace. It takes you all around the campus as well as through a variety of student accommodation and academic departments.

Listen to talks and go on department tours

You’ll need to book on most talks and tours. You can go to talks:

  • about the University, admissions and life here
  • by Departments on subject areas and facilities
  • from the Student’s Union about their work to enhance the Student experience
  • from Team Bath, covering the range of sports available

Visit the Information Fair

The Information Fair is open from 9.30am to 4pm in the Sports Training Village.

It's the place to pick up information, ask questions and meet academic staff, admissions staff and support services.

Don't forget to talk to our current students - they're the best people to give you an idea of what living and studying here is actually like.

Look around our accommodation

Take a look around our campus accommodation between 9.30am and 4pm, to see where you could be living.

You can also tour our city centre accommodation where we have 400 rooms. If you want to visit our John Wood accommodation, please fill in our short form to express your interest. Visit the Accommodation stand in the Information Fair to find out more about room allocations and costs.

Take a Library tour

Explore the Library by joining our hourly guided tours. Lasting 20 to 30 minutes, the first is at 10.30am and the last at 3.30pm. You do not need to book in advance.

You can take a self-guided tour at any point during the day.

Find out about the Students' Union

The Students' Union forms an important part of your experience and we're proud it is one of the best in the country.

You can chat with students from societies and get an idea of the interesting things you can get involved in.

As well as the fun stuff, the Students' Union (SU) is a great source of advice and support. You can meet SU staff and learn about how they help students make the most of their time here.

The Students’ Union will run talks on the day, see the General talks and tours timetable for timings.

Sports facilities tours

Catch a guided tour of the Sports Training Village (STV) to see the facilities you can enjoy as a student here, whatever your sporting ability. Tours run every 30 minutes from 10am from the STV entrance and there's no need to book.

Visit our city centre student hub

If you’re in the city, take look around our new learning commons and student support centre.

It’s just a three-minute walk from the central bus and rail stations, and 15 minutes from our Claverton Down Campus.

Have something to eat and drink

Free bottled water is available at Welcome Points around the campus.

Our campus has a supermarket, cafés and places to eat. There will also be pop-up food stalls on the day. Our catering facilities provide for a variety of dietary requirements. You are also welcome to bring your own food as we have plenty of picnic areas.
