Conference
A microscopy & analysis conference is held bi-annually to bring together researchers and postgraduate students from across the faculties of Science and Engineering & Design and also those involved in microscopy at other institutions in the South West of the UK.
The conference aims to highlight innovative microscopy & analysis instrumentation used in nanotechnology research with eminent speakers, using state-of-the art instruments in their own research, invited to give talks.
Delegates may network with speakers, representatives from instrument manufacturers (present at the trade exhibition) and colleagues in order to inspire new research ideas, stimulate future research collaborations and grant applications for new instruments.
The conferences also promote interactions between physical and biological science disciplines, an interface that the University and grant awarding bodies are keen to encourage.
The next Microscopy & Analysis Conference will be held in early January 2013.
