Creating Journals
When raising a journal to move an existing transaction from one project to another, we would like to ask you all to record the transaction number as the first part of the description in the 'Text' field, this will then allow the information to be sorted by transaction number, which will aid with project reconciliation and provide a full clear audit trail.
Please try and avoid creating journals with lots of lines if they can be chunked into balanced sections. We have had journals of 150 lines going into workflow which then will not post until all 150 lines are approved. If you have to create large journals on a regular basis we can provide you with an Excel template to be used which we can then batch input to Agresso.
If you are moving a transaction which has an identifier - a PO number or a Supplier Invoice number, please include it on the text field for the line.
A report has been created to allow you to view a list of GL transactions posted by you. This can be found under Transaction Reports.
