Applying for a course
How to apply
1. Online
Visit the General Public course listing and apply online by following the link from the course you have selected.
2. By post
Please post your completed enrolment form together with your cheque or credit/debit card details to:
The Foreign Languages Centre, University of Bath, Bath BA2 7AY.
Cheques should be made payable to the University of Bath. On the back of the cheque please write the name of the person enrolling and course code.
3. By telephone (Credit/Debit cards only)
We will need the following personal details:
- Your full name and date of birth
- Address and postcode
- Course title and course code
- Credit/debit card number and expiry date
You cannot enrol by telephone if you are being sponsored by an employer.
4. In Person
You can enrol in person at the Foreign Languages Centre, Wessex House 7.35, at the following times: Monday to Thursday 10.00am - 2.00pm
5. By internal mail
If you work at the University, you can download an enrolment form and send it, together with your payment to: FLC, Wessex House 7.35
Payment policy
It is advisable to enrol on your course as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Some courses become full very quickly and others may be cancelled due to insufficient numbers. You cannot join your course until your fees have been received by the University.
Fees
University of Bath full-time students and members of staff may apply for reduced fees. Please contact the Foreign Languages Centre for more information.
Cancellation policy
If the Foreign Languages Centre has to cancel a course because of insufficient numbers, or for any other reason, and an alternative course is not available, a full refund will be given.
In the event of a course being cancelled after its start, a proportional refund will be given.
Those who withdraw from a course or class at any time will only be entitled to a refund in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the Director of the Foreign Languages Centre; a £10 charge to cover administration costs will be applied. The Director may request evidence to support the request for a refund such as a doctor’s certificate or a letter from an employer.
Please note that refunds may take up to six weeks to process from date of cancellation.
Whilst every effort is made to avoid changes to the programme, published details may be altered without notice at any time. The Director of the Foreign Languages Centre reserves the right to withdraw or amend any part of this programme without prior notice.
