Foundation Year - Accommodation
University accommodation is guaranteed for one year for all Foundation Year students based at the City of Bath College. Foundation Year students based at other Colleges can access alternative accommodation via their chosen College.
Those who do not benefit from University accommodation in their Foundation Year will be eligible to apply for this for the first year of undergraduate study.
City of Bath College
Accommodation is guaranted to all new single Foundation Year students based at the City of Bath College, who have not previously lived in University accommodation, and who have accepted their course offer and applied for accommodation before the summer deadline.
Please note that all prospective Foundation Year students with an unconditional firm or conditional firm offer will be able to apply online from 16th March 2010. For all enquiries regarding accommodation please contact the Accommodation office or please look at accommodation for Foundation Year students.
Rooms are allocated on a first-come, first serve basis, as well as according to a student's status (i.e. those already holding an unconditional offer can be allocated a room before those still holding a conditional offer).
Other options are host family accommodation arranged by the City of Bath College. For more information, please contact the College at intstudent@citybathcoll.ac.uk.
Students can choose private sector accommodation - services and advice on this are available from the Accommodation Office.
LIVING AT BATH – An applicant's guide to accommodation
Wiltshire College
Accommodation in the Hall of Residence is guaranteed to all new Foundation Year students based at Wiltshire College who have accepted the course and applied for accommodation before the end of June in the year of entry.
Students who have accepted a place on the course will automatically be sent or referred to accommodation details and will be able to apply on line for a room in hall using the accommodation request form.
As well as the St Marys Hall of Residence at Salisbury we can offer ‘home stay’ with host families and lists of other accommodation in the city.

Approximate Living Costs
In general living costs for one year of study at the University of Bath are £7000 - £8000. This includes accommodation, food, local travel etc. It does not include tuition fees, travel to and from the UK or visa charges.
