Knowledge management strategy in the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF)

The focus of the project, conducted by Professor Juani Swart, is on the transformation of the UNCDF knowledge management strategy. It examines how policy, practice and behaviour changed from its original understanding of knowledge as a set of products (case studies, good practice, webinars, etc.) to the adoption of a knowledge fusion strategy which seeks to integrate specialist knowledge across various complex UNCDF projects. This represents a very real shift in organisational culture and behaviour, as depicted by the Director of UNCDF when he stated at a recent annual staff retreat: "This will fundamentally change the way we do things".

This engagement is based on researched conducted and published at the University of Bath between 2006 and 2016 which is focused on changes in knowledge sharing behaviour.
