Book a place on our coach collection service from Heathrow Airport
If you're an international student flying into Heathrow on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September 2016, you can book our free coach service to get to campus.
Booking your place
The service runs from 09:00 to 20:00 GMT+1 (9am to 8pm) on Arrivals Weekend, Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September 2016.
We can only offer places to international students at this time. If you are an EU student hoping to book a place, please email firstname.lastname@example.org so we can add you to our waiting list.
Our coach service goes from London Heathrow Airport direct to the University campus.
We do not offer a collection service from any other airport.
Choosing your collection time
You can choose the coach departure time when you book your place using the online reservation form.
You must arrive at the meeting point at least 30 minutes before the coach leaves.
Luggage collection and immigration control can take up to two hours. You should book the coach for two and a half hours after your flight arrival time.
How to book
You must submit your online reservation form by 23:59 GMT+1 (11.59pm) on Monday 12 September.
You can only book one seat on the coach. If you are travelling with your family or friends, they need to arrange their own transport to Bath.
We will email you within one week to confirm your booking. You need to print out your confirmation email and bring it with you when you travel.
Arriving before Saturday 24 or after Sunday 25 September 2016
If you arrive on another day, you need to arrange your own travel to Bath.
Your luggage allowance
Space on the coach is limited. You can bring:
- two medium suitcases or one large suitcase
- one item of hand luggage (plus whatever hand luggage you had on the plane)
A medium suitcase should not weigh more than 20kg. Your hand luggage must be small enough to fit into the overhead rack or beneath your seat on the coach.
If your luggage is over the allowance, you will have to arrange your own travel to Bath.
You can send your belongings directly to the University for collection when you arrive.
Finding us at the airport
International welcome volunteers, wearing yellow T-shirts, will be waiting for you at the meeting point in Terminal 3. It is on the ground floor of the arrivals building.
Arriving at another terminal
There are free transfers between Heathrow Airport's four terminals.
You can take a train or bus from Terminal 4 or 5 to Heathrow Central Station. The Central Station is a short walk from Terminal 3.
If you miss your coach
We'll try to find a place for you on the next available service. If this is not possible you may need to arrange your own travel to Bath.
International welcome volunteers will be available to assist you during the day.
If you arrive after the last coach has left on Saturday, you can book accommodation at Heathrow and come on the first coach on Sunday if there is space.
