About this accommodation

Brendon Court is a catered accommodation block for 126 first year undergraduate students on the University's Claverton Down campus.

It is in the centre of our Claverton Down campus, a two-minute walk to the Library and Students' Union.

Brendon Court has:

  • secure swipe card access to buildings
  • communal toilets and bathrooms, each shared by about five students
  • launderette
  • secure bike storage

Single bedrooms

The bedrooms in Brendon Court give you personal space to work and relax.

Each room has:

  • standard 91cm x 183cm single bed with reading light
  • wash basin
  • mini-fridge
  • kettle
  • desk, chair and drawers
  • high-speed Wi-Fi and ethernet
  • built-in wardrobe
  • bookshelves

Kitchens and dining

Although Brendon Court is catered accommodation, you can use the communal kitchenettes to prepare snacks and light meals.

In there you will find:

  • breakfast bar and stools
  • electric hob
  • oven
  • microwave
  • kettle
  • toaster
  • cupboard storage space
  • recycling facilities

Social spaces

There is a large communal lounge on the ground floor with:

  • TV with Freeview
  • sofa and bean bags

Accommodation for students with disabilities

If you have a disability, there are four ground floor rooms in Brendon Court designed to meet your needs. These rooms are within standard shared accommodation.

We can make further adaptions to rooms if necessary.

There are some items and services that come as part of the price of your accommodation.

Eat and Drink credit

Eat and Drink credit is part of the catered accommodation package.


As part of your accommodation agreement we clean communal areas such as kitchens and social spaces weekly.

You are responsible for keeping your rooms clean and tidy.


You get insurance cover for your belongings as part of your accommodation package.


The University postal service delivers your post to shared, passcode-protected mailboxes. These are allocated by kitchen group and you get your mailbox passcode when you move in.
