University of Bath

Coming to an Applicant Visit Day

If you have an offer or interview for an undergraduate degree, we'll invite you to an Applicant Visit Day to help you decide if Bath is for you.

Helping you choose

Choosing where to study your undergraduate degree is a big decision. Our Applicant Visit Days give you an idea of what it's like to study here and the chance to ask all the questions you need to make your decision.

You can come to an Applicant Visit Day when you have received an offer of a place to study at Bath, or if you have an interview for your course.

You will learn more about the subjects you'll study and meet current students and members of staff. You can also learn about the admissions process and take a tour of the University's facilities.

Public transport

You can get a 20% discount for advance purchase rail tickets to Bath Spa dated three days either side of your Applicant Visit Day.

There is a regular bus service from the city centre to the University, also operated by First Bus. This service which runs approximately every six minutes. There are stops outside the railway station, Bath Abbey and many other locations. Journey time is 10 to 15 minutes.

If you are travelling in your own car, we can send you a campus parking permit. Use this to avoid getting a parking ticket. These permits are free but please be aware that they only grant you permission to park - they do not guarantee you a space.

Any spaces marked ‘Reserved’ are for University staff only and cannot be parked in, even if you have a permit.

Parking on campus is extremely limited and we urge you to consider alternative ways of getting here. There are several city centre car parks should you choose to drive.

See our travel advice for other ways to get to the campus.
