Resident tutor support in University accommodation

Resident tutors provide help and support for students living in University accommodation. They also arrange social events.

What your resident tutor does

Your resident tutors are members of staff or postgraduate students who understand what University life is all about.

You can talk to resident tutors about anything – they're here to help. They'll also suggest other support services if you need them and organise social activities and events.

Duty times

We are on duty every evening from 6.15pm to 2.15am

Drop-in sessions

We run daily drop-in sessions where you can come and talk to your resident tutor. All drop-in sessions run from 7pm to 8pm.

Drop-in sessions for students in University accommodation on campus

There are drop-in sessions at the Roper Student Services Centre every evening from 7pm to 8pm. These are open to all students living on campus.

Drop-in sessions for students in University accommodation in the city centre

All drop-in sessions run from 7pm to 8pm. They are open to all students living in city centre accommodation.

If you miss a drop-in session, or need to contact us urgently, please contact your resident tutor by phone or email. You can find contact details for your resident tutors on posters in your kitchens.
