Using the High Performance Computing service
We provide a range of support and consultancy services to help users of all skill levels use the HPC for research.
Access HPC and use it for your research
All researchers and academics can gain access to this service. Undergraduate students may be granted access to this as part of a final year project. Your departmental champion will discuss your needs and arrange access. Once access has been granted you can follow our guide to log in and get started.
We also offer a paid-for premium service which can be costed on research grants, in line with our policies. This allows larger jobs to be run, with higher priority. If you wish to find out more about the premium service please contact the HPC support team.
Use your current software on the HPC
Find out what software applications are available for use, including Ansys, Caffe, Matlab, R, Python, ParaView, Stata, VASP, or you can request a new software be set up. This means that applications which are running too slowly on your desktop or laptop can be run more quickly on the HPC service.
