Doctoral Welcome Team

The Doctoral College Welcome Team, made up of current students, is here to make sure you feel welcome and supported in the first few months of your doctoral studies. As well as organising welcome events, they can also help you find relevant facilities, support services and anything else you might need.

It's worth taking a look at their Arrivals Guide. It's packed with useful advice and info, regardless of when you arrive.

In terms of events, if you are on campus in the next few weeks, one of the Team will be at our regular Cake in the Commons event for doctoral students on Friday mornings between 10.30 and 11.30 in 10W 5.01 on 27 April and 4 May 2018, so do come along to chat to them and get to know your community.

We have a Campus Tour designed especially for new doctoral students, meeting at the Library at 11am on 26 April 2018. Sign up to attend online.

There's also information online from exhibitors at our Information Fair on various sources of support.

Coming along to an event can be a great way to meet fellow researchers and to get to know your way around too.

Our Welcome Reception runs in the Autumn. For those students who weren't here for last Reception on 10 October, we captured some pictures and the opening speeches for you.
