What we do
Bath Research and Development is a partnership between three clinical commissioning groups (CCGs), the Department for Health within the University of Bath (where the Consortium is located) and two local social enterprises, Sirona and Seqol. The groups involved are: Bath and North East Somerset CCG, Swindon CCG and a portion of the Wiltshire CCG. The Consortium provides a research management and governance service and provides a drop in support session for researcher with queries regarding regulatory approval. It supports research and helps to facilitate the conduct of trials and other well-designed studies within primary care. Its focus is in promoting the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), now established as a part of the Government's strategy for research.
With the current changes in primary care, Bath Research and Development is now taking on research management for community partners, such as the social enterprises
