Dr Cassie Wilson appointed Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching)

— Cassie Wilson will be Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) from 1 July 2015.

 

Dr Cassie Wilson has been appointed as the new Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) for the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences.

Cassie will begin in this post from 1 July 2015 in a role that will last three years.

She will take on the Associate Dean role in addition to her existing responsibilities as Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Biomechanics.

This appointment follows news that the existing Associate Dean, Professor Peter Lambert has been appointed as Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching) for the University of Bath.

The Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) is responsible for the strategic and academic leadership of learning, teaching and the student experience in the Faculty’s undergraduate provision. 

Commenting on the role, Cassie said: "I am delighted to have been appointed as Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) in the Faculty and look forward to the new and exciting challenges it brings."

Speaking about the appointment, Professor Ian Butler commented: "I am really pleased that we have been able to appoint such a talented successor to Peter Lambert. Cassie has a lot of exciting ideas to bring to the role as well as a detailed understanding of what is required."
