2018 Leisure Studies Association (LSA) Conference to be hosted by The University of Bath

The University of Bath is proud to have been confirmed as the host venue for the 2018 Leisure Studies Association (LSA) Conference.

The internationally acclaimed conference, aimed at academics, students, practitioners, policy makers and professionals who work broadly within leisure, sports, tourism and events will be hosted at the University of Bath by the Physical Culture, Sport and Health Research Group.

The conference will take place 10-12 July 2018 and will be convened under the theme of 'Mobilising change: Creative and critical leisure practices in the post-disciplinary era'.

The conference looks to explore central themes related to contemporary leisure practices and contexts, namely:

  • Digital and physical cultures
  • Critical pedagogies in public and education spaces
  • Inequality, power and change
  • Sustainable communities - people and places
  • Co-creating research - innovative methodologies
  • Embodied health and wellbeing
