Profile

Mark is a Teaching Fellow for the MSc Sports Physiotherapy, and he is also a Sports Physiotherapist at the Team Bath Sports Training Village.

Clinically, Mark has worked in Private Practice for over eight years primarily in the area of Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy. In 2007/2008 he worked in the UK for Pure Sports Medicine in Kensington London and also for the Blackberry Orthopaedic Clinic in Milton Keynes.

He returned to New Zealand for 2009 taking up a role as clinical supervisor to Undergraduate Physiotherapy students at the University of Otago part time as well as running a post-operative knee clinic, working in a private clinic, and providing Physiotherapy to Otago United Football club.

He has also worked with individual elite athletes from sports including athletics, triathlon, tennis, outrigger canoe, rowing, kayaking, surfing, tow surfing, wind surfing, swimming, martial arts, power lifting, trap shooting, gymnastics, and ballet.

Along with the elite Mark enjoys working with the every day sports person with aspirations to compete in the next half marathon or weekend competition. He is experienced with treating general musculoskeletal problems such as giving advice on posture to an office worker with neck pain or helping someone to become active without developing injuries.
