Rachel Rose joined the Tobacco Control Research Group in 2014 and comes from a public health background. Her current research investigates how transnational tobacco companies influence policy processes in countries seeking to pass and implement tobacco control regulation. Specifically, she is interested in the tactics and techniques the tobacco industry employs to thwart the policymaking process in African countries.

Rachel Rose’s research contributes to the Group’s academic publications as well as to, a unique academic resource run by the Group that monitors the tobacco industry and charts its influence in public health and policy regulation.
