About this course

For students studying here on a Tier 4 visa, any changes or interruptions to their studies could have an impact on their immigration status.  This session will explain the consequences that different changes could have on a student's visa and what happens if a student's visa is curtailed.

The session will cover

  • The University's monitoring and reporting requirements as a Tier 4 sponsor
  • Process for reporting students and information provided to students
  • Implications of changing course or completing early on a student's visa status
  • What happens when a student suspends their studies
  • Curtailment of visas
  • How and when to refer students for advice

This session is suitable for

Staff involved in the change of circumstances process and staff who may be consulted by students who wish or need to make a change to or interrupt their studies.
