About this course:
This is an awareness-raising course for anyone chairing a recruiting panel at the University.
The associated legal responsibilities will be explained and put into the context of the University's Recruitment & Selection Code of Practice, particularly focusing on those responsibilities held by the panel chair.
Objectives
When participants have completed this course they will be able to:
- Appreciate the legal framework and possible consequences pertaining to recruiting practice
- Understand the important role of the Chair at the various stages of the process: pre-interview, interview and post interview.
Who should attend this course:
Anyone likely to be asked to Chair a recruiting panel, but would also be worthwhile for all interview panel members.
From 1st January 2010 it has been mandatory for anyone chairing an interview panel to have attended this training.
