Personality styles: understanding yourself, understanding others

Date: tbc

Time: 10.30am-12.30pm

Presenters: Amanda Wylie, Staff Development Manager

About this course

This course is designed to enable you to understand your own style, that of others and to enable you to flex your style to communicate more effectively, both inside and outside of work.

The basis of the tool used to demonstrate this is ICS-Connect, a simple means of understanding differences in the way we communicate and what we are ‘listening for’. The basis of this tool is how to build bonds of mutual trust, where differences in style are acknowledged as differences rather than right/wrong behaviour.

Confidentiality and a ‘safe environment’ to enquire into conversations around style will be discussed at the beginning of the workshop.

By the end of your session you will be able to:

  • describe introverted and extroverted behaviours
