The University will take reasonable care to protect it's employees and users from injury which could arise as a consequence of work equipment or machinery. This includes:

Assessing the risks likely from hazardous work equipment

Providing a safe means of access and egress from each work area

Maintaining equipment in good condition

Providing suitable and sufficient storage faciltiies

Providing safe means and routes of transportation

Provide training, instruction and information
Work equipment includes all kinds of appliances, apparatus, tools, machines and installations. This includes lifting and access equipment, woodworking machinery, electrical appliances, hand tools, vehicles.
