Advertising

All vacancies, including temporary posts shall normally be advertised. Vacancies are normally published internally and externally, with a minimum of a two week closing date.

The key stages of the process are:

  • An advert will need to be written
  • You will need to decide whether your vacancy requires a CRB check and/or needs to be advertised to non-EU candidates
  • HR will place the advert in the appropriate website or publication
  • There will be an automatic notification when the job goes live


Once HR has all the approved documentation (job description, person specification, advert) , a vacancy can normally go live within 24 hours. The vacancy should be advertised for a two week period.
