Critic and historian Marcus Verhagen talked to Uriel Orlow about his new exhibition, In This Great Time – a musing on the famous Cafe Odeon, Zurich, where intellectuals, artists and revolutionaries met in the 1920s and 30s. Orlow’s poetic and intriguing work used video, photography, drawing and text to investigate where history, place and memory intersect, and continue to affect our present.
