Ben Wright launched his own company with three new pieces of poignant and exquisite dance. The mind, heart and the human condition in turn became studies for the company’s five outstanding performers.
Wright’s robust and delicate choreography captured the fragility and beauty of our lives. Thought latching to thought and pulling was performed by a visually arresting male quartet. Passing strange and wonderful was a moody and intense duet exploring relationships. The final quintet, small acts offered humorous and intimate insights across the rich panorama of human behaviour.

Wright has choreographed and directed work for many leading contemporary dance, opera and theatre companies, performing with companies including Ricochet Dance Company, Richard Alston Dance Company and London Contemporary Dance Theatre. He was principal dancer with Adventures in Motion Pictures for eight years, winning critical acclaim for his role in the all-male Swan Lake.
