Internationally renowned sound artist and innovator Philip Jeck performed live at the ICIA. Jeck deployed salvaged record players, mixers, effects units and a big box of vintage records creating a new and particular sound world all his own. Jeck’s best known piece Vinyl Requiem, is a performance for 180 record players dating from the 50s and 60s and won a Time Out Performance Award. He has released seven CDs, performed at the Venice Biennale and created an installation for Sonic Boom at The Hayward, London, and composes soundtracks for many dance and theatre companies.
