Artist’s Talk – Tom Marshman

Wed 16 Mar – ICIA Art Space 2

Tom Marshman was in conversation with Deborah Aguirre Jones.

With a humorous, playful and eccentric sensibility, performance artist Tom Marshman creates highly engaging work that celebrates ‘the everyday’. He actively encourages a dialogue with participants and creates a safe space to share thoughts and experiences.

Having created a series of intimate happenings and mini-performances in unexpected settings, Tom marked the opening of his new multi-media installation by discussing his residency at the University and its relation to his other work and ICIA’s 2011 theme Set in Play...

A previous artist-in-residence at the University, Deborah’s work explores our experience of territory, home and un-belonging.

Associated Exhibition 16 Mar – 21 Apr, Art Space 2
