The dynamic and exciting partnership of choreographer Fin Walker and composer Ben Park saw an extraordinary synergy between virtuoso dance and live music.
5 2 10 took you on an evolutionary journey through the human emotions with fervent, powerful music and dance of heart-stopping athleticism and beauty.
5 2 10 was inspired by the colours and emotions of the body’s seven chakras. It unfolded in seven distinct yet connected parts, five unpredictable duets and two emotional and urgent solos. Each dance had its own unique soundworld, created by instruments including saxophones, bassoon, marimba and congas.
A contemporary sound design with classical harmony and modern rhythm.
Fin Walker is one of the finest dance choreographers of her generation. She began working with Ben Park in 1993, establishing Walker Dance Park Music in 2001. They have created many works for the company as well as recent commissions for Rambert Dance Company, Ricochet Dance Productions, Phoenix Dance Theatre and Candoco. Walker Dance Park Music is an associate company of the Royal Opera House.
